Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging
Real-time ultrasound imaging
What is diagnostic ultrasound imaging?
Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of structures beneath the skin.
In a musculoskeletal setting, ultrasound may provide additional visual information about selected soft tissue structures relevant to a person's presentation.
At Gisborne Osteopathy, ultrasound imaging may be used as an adjunct to the clinical assessment where appropriate. Information gathered through ultrasound is considered alongside your case history, physical assessment and other relevant clinical findings.
